What we replace
Cab glass most auto shops won't touch.
Equipment glass is a different animal than car glass. The panels are big, the shapes are one-off, the glass sits in a cab frame or channel instead of a bonded auto opening, and on an older machine the part number died years ago. That is the work we do every week, on almost anything that runs the fields and job sites around Allegan.

Big flat and curved panes
A cab is a wall of glass, some of it flat and some of it bent to the shape of the frame. Getting a large panel right, or matching a curved one to the bend, is a different job than dropping a stock auto windshield into a bonded opening.
Off-road, but still safety glass
Equipment is not held to DOT auto-glass rules, so it is not the same spec as a car windshield. It is still real safety glass, tempered or laminated in a set thickness, and we match the type the machine came with so the replacement holds up.
A broken cab is exposure
A missing or cracked cab window means dust, rain, and cold riding in the cab with the operator all day. In season that is more than a nuisance, so getting the right glass back in fast is the whole point of the job.

If it's discontinued, that's the job we take.
Most shops quote cab glass by looking up a part number, and when the number comes back dead they are done. We are the shop people get sent to after that, which is why an old tractor everyone else gave up on is a normal job here.

We get the glass
We get the right pane in the right safety glass. Curved and special panels take longer than a common flat one, and we tell you which yours is up front.
We fit it
The new glass goes back in the frame or channel and gets set so the cab is sealed, and you are back to work with the dust and weather outside where they belong.

Do you do cab glass for tractors and heavy equipment?
Yes. Cab glass is part of what we do at Glass Enterprise. We replace windshields and cab panels for tractors and combines, and glass for skid steers, excavators, and loaders, alongside the farm trucks that run with them. Tell us the machine and which piece broke and we'll tell you what it takes to put it back.
My machine is old and the glass is discontinued. Can you still get it?
Usually, yes, and it's a big part of why owners are sent to us. When the part is out of production or the maker is long gone, that is exactly the job we take. It is where most shops stop. See specialty glass.
Do you do both curved and flat cab glass?
Both. Plenty of cab panels are flat glass we can turn around quickly. Curved windshields and wraparound corner panes take more time, and we tell you which yours is before you commit.
Is equipment cab glass tempered or laminated?
It depends on the piece, and we match what the machine came with. Cab glass is real safety glass in a set thickness, tempered on most panels and laminated where the machine used it. Off-road equipment is not held to DOT auto-glass rules, but the glass still has to be the right type and thickness to hold up in the cab.
Can I bring just the broken glass, or do you need the whole machine?
Either works. If you can pull the broken pane or the frame, bringing just that in is usually the fastest way, since we can work off it. If the glass has to be fit and set on the machine, bring the machine to the shop. Call first so we plan it right.
How fast can you turn it around in season?
Call us with the machine and the glass and we'll tell you the soonest we can do it. Common flat panes can often be quick. A curved or special-order pane depends on the machine and what we have to bring in, so we'd rather give you a straight answer on the phone than a number we can't hold.
Do you do farm trucks and fleet windshields too?
Yes. Windshields, side glass, and back glass for the pickups and farm trucks that work alongside the equipment, set in the right safety glass. If you run a few trucks, tell us and we'll work through them.
